Welcome

Hi, I’m Poppy. I’m a 25 year old vegan, studying in Kent, UK, for a degree in Animal Management.

I have three major passions; animals, world development/poverty/equality with a special interest in street children; and food/cooking/veganism. I have been a vegetarian since the age of six and a vegan since my late teens.

I am now, as of 2016, a proud wife and a survivor of various health conditions. Since having 2 major surgeries to remove tumours and diseased organs, I have become disabled to chronic neuropathic pain due to central nervous system damage. I hope to return to finish my degree which I had to abandon half way through my final year, in this coming September. More anon!

We have tonnes of rescued animals from rodents to chickens to dogs that we share our small home with. I also foster orphaned wildlife and hand rear them to release back to the wild.

You can find out more about my crazy life adventures on my social media pages – Facebook or Facebook Page Twitter Instagram and don’t forget to follow Bunny Kitchen by signing up with your email on the homepage, this way you will never miss a recipe, review or fun giveaway!

This blog is how I practice and share my passion for food. There will also be the odd appearance from the other two passions by way of a picture of kittens or bunnies eating pancakes, or tales of bake sales to raise money for street children.

Bunny Kitchen is called such because when I started this blog, cooking was associated with bunnies running around the kitchen and my feet hoping for scraps! Nowadays, it’s also a chicken, or a dog or a cat!

Here you will follow me through my baking, cooking and DIY adventures and find all the recipes I have adapted and created.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy browsing this blog and that you find what you are looking for.

I want to hear from you! Please leave any comments, questions or suggestions you may have.

Happy cooking and welcome to Bunny Kitchen.

Poppy

Hi Poppy! I love your blog very much. I am planning soon a series of small interviews with vegan bloggers who I read and enjoy. Would you be willing to be interviewed? i would just ask for a few pics, a fave recipe, a small discussion about what it means to you to be vegan, etc. 🙂
